Field Day announces new location

The London festival was previously staged in the east of the capital at Victoria Park, which hosted Field Day for 11 years

Field Day has officially revealed its brand new location for 2018, with the festival moving south to Brockwell Park in Lambeth.

The London festival had previously been staged in Victoria Park in the east of the capital, with the space hosting the event for 11 years.

After speculation that the festival – which was held over a single day last year – was moving south picked up towards the end of last year, Field Day have today (February 1) confirmed that the event will indeed be moving south of the river for 2018.

Partnering with Lambeth Council, Field Day say that they are “carrying the torch to Brockwell Park, in a region of London that is renowned for its rich cultural and musical history: from raising legends including David Bowie to contemporaries making waves today such as Loyle Carner and the likes of Reprezent giving a voice to a young south London.”

Field Day co-founder Marcus Weedon said of the move: “We look forward to working with Lambeth Council, residents, local businesses and stakeholder groups to ensure the event in Brockwell Park is a huge success and lays the foundation for what we hope is our home for many years to come.

“We’ve had 11 incredible and memorable years in Victoria Park and very much look forward to bringing Field Day to Brockwell Park over two days in June.”
